Im hesitant to give 4 stars and not 5. The price of a ticket on small boat seems high, but i get that a small boat is more maneuverable and requires more manpower per person. The experience was exhilarating and despite only seeing gators, the captain of the Snot Rocket took the time to show us and explain a lot. I grew up in gator country in TX and i was still quite impressed with ole Droopy hopping on our boat for us. Our guide explained a lot about the boat and i appreciate that as well because im a motor head. He was friendly and talked alot about both the recent history and the initial settlement by the French. He spoke of Ida and the damage that storm wreaked on the area. The boat was fast and was fun to ride in the turns, but it felt very safe. I love how it feels going over land, you can tell it barely touches the surface as it glides over water and terrain. I was more excited going into it than my wife, but she loved it as well.
I still think it was expensive for the duration of the tour, but worth it. To be fair, those are powerful machines that im sure require a lot of maintenance as all watercraft do, and it was entertaining as well as informative. I think it was very much worth it. And felt that we spent an appropriate amount of time out there in the end. Thanks guys!
