I definitely think a swamp tour is worth it, if you’re in Louisiana! My husband and I had a really good time. Mike was an interesting captain who told us about the area as well as gators and other wildlife. You definitely get to see a TON of alligators on this tour. We saw 3 or 4 very large ones and dozens of medium to tiny ones. They apparently have an agreement with the fish and wildlife service, who take eggs from their land to incubate so that they can maintain the wild population.
I deducted a star for some questionable feeding practices that might make some visitors uncomfortable. This is private land and a private company, so don’t be surprised if they do things you wouldn’t expect from say biologists.
