The Rougarou is a mythical creature from Cajun folklore, particularly in the French-speaking communities of Louisiana. The legend of the Rougarou is similar to the folklore surrounding werewolves in other cultures. The creature is often described as a humanoid with the ability to transform into an animal, usually a wolf or a dog.
