Our Captains are Unique and Amazing!

Captain Randy Young, Founder of Ragin Cajun Airboat Tours. Randy was born and raised in Destrehan,Louisiana. He is an avid outdoorsman and has traveled the world for the best hunting and fishing locations. He enjoys entertaining guests with the knowledge and personal experiences of living the bayou life firsthand. He is committed to providing a true an authentic cajun experience; while striving to be the absolute best tour operation in Louisiana.

Captain Justin Shaw, is a Louisiana native-born on a shrimp boat outside of Lafayette, Louisiana (we can’t make this stuff up, folks!) He was raised hunting and fishing in the southern marshes of Louisiana. He catches everything from Alligators,shrimp,bass,and many more native animals and fish. He has only left the state of Louisiana a handful of times; to hunt bear and moose in Northern Canada. Now he spends his time offshore fishing in Louisiana and inland duck hunting in marshes, that is when he’s not playing with Alligators!

Captain Scott Walker, was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, but was raised in the small town of Laplace, Louisiana. He grew up fishing speckled trout and redfish in Houma, La. When he was younger, he would catch all of his crawfish in the Bonnet Carre Spillway-right outside of NOLA. He is a proud father of two young boys, aged 16 and 18. He shares his love of sportsman’s activities with his boys. His youngest son is Autistic and isn’t able to ride on the airboats-but that doesn’t stop him from adventurin’ with his beloved dad! Captain Scott is a former Lake Ponchatrain fishing captain and has been featured on numerous Southeast Louisiana television shows and internet specials. Alligators are his true passion and learns more and more about them as he interacts with them and sees their reactions.

Captain Eric Dumas, was born in Covington,Louisiana and raised in the small fishing and boating village of Madisonville,LA. He is currently 48 yrs. old and has been running and playing with alligators in the swamps since he was 12 yrs old. Wow! That’s 36 years and counting! He says he enjoys the job because every single tour is different and he loves showing everyone the nature of the swamp to the absolute fullest. So..bring on the fun because he feeds off your excitement! If you want to have fun, Let’s do it! Just remember… Hold on for the ride!!
