A great captain makes for a great tour. Our captains have the technical skills to pilot our airboats safely, along with the deep local knowledge and traditions that you want to experience. They’re also in the entertainment business so they’ll make sure you have a safe and enjoyable ride though our swamps.
Captain Randy Young, Founder of Ragin Cajun Airboat Tours. Randy was born and raised in Destrehan, Louisiana. He is an avid outdoorsman and has traveled the world for the best hunting and fishing locations. He enjoys entertaining guests with the knowledge and personal experiences of living the bayou life firsthand. He is committed to providing a true an authentic Cajun experience; while striving to be the absolute best tour operation in Louisiana.
Captain Dalton Bergeron, is a Louisiana native-born and raised just down the bayou. His passion for adventure extends beyond the water- as he is also an avid truck racer, always pushing the limits on the track! Regardless of if it’s an airboat or truck, when Dalton is behind the wheel you are in for a thrilling ride!
Captain Scott Walker, was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, but was raised in the small town of Laplace, Louisiana. He grew up fishing speckled trout and redfish in Houma, La. When he was younger, he would catch all of his crawfish in the Bonnet Carre Spillway-right outside of NOLA. Captain Scott is a former Lake Ponchatrain fishing captain and has been featured on numerous Southeast Louisiana television shows and internet specials!
Captain Eric Dumas has been apart of Ragin Cajun since the beginning! He has been guiding tours for over 20 years! When Eric isn’t guiding tours, he is rescuing and relocating nuisance animals such as alligators, raccoons, and snakes, and feral hogs. His expertise helps maintain ecological balance and ensures the safety of the residents and wildlife!
Captain Mike Gordy is a seasoned captain with a rich maritime background. Before he became a master of the Louisiana marshes, Mike spent years navigating the open ocean as a charter captain guiding visitors through the Gulf Coast! Now he combines his love for adventure with five star service to offer an unforgettable tour through the wetlands!
Captain Garrett Burt may have Georgia roots, but his heart and career lead him to the Louisiana bayou! Garrett spent much of his life traveling down to Louisiana to hunt and fish around the Gulf Coast. When he finally decided Louisiana is where he wanted to call home, he joined us to show y’all one of the things that convinced him to make the big move, the beautiful Louisiana bayous!
Captain Eric Delhaye, or as we like to call him Lil’ Eric, was born in the Louisiana state capital Baton Rouge! His keen eyes and expert guidance make him a sought-after guide for those eager to explore the rich ecosystems of Louisiana’s marshes. Lil’ Eric is is dedicated to conservation and education, and enjoys sharing his firsthand insights on local flora and fauna to help visitors appreciate and protect the unique bayou environment.
